Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
