Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
